MYX Productions Hosts Music and Art Showcase To Battle Cancer

MYX Productions is now looking for artists and musicians to take part in a music and arts showcase at the Union Street Brick Church Friday and Saturday, July 30-31, with the goals of promoting cancer awareness and raising funds for Randy Billings, a long-time local musician now battling Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma.

MYX is partnering with The Red Cross, Bangor Fusion, and other amazing organizations to put together an amazing event and create collective energy towards cancer awareness and the lives it affects.
Billings was diagnosed in April and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He is known throughout the Maine music community for his involvement in bands such as Billings Brew and the Napper Tandies.

The celebration of music, art, dance, and food, named Bloom207 Music & Arts Showcase, is being organized to provide a venue for local artists to showcase their talents. With the help of various local organizations, businesses and individuals, MYX Productions hopes to promote local art and music while harnessing the collective power of local talent for a good cause.

"We believe that coming together in support of one another and for those in need is the essence of what it takes to build a strong community," said Randy's brother, Mike Billings of MYX Productions.
